I just had to share.
Has anyone ever found that wizard to be helpful in any way? I wonder how you turn that bugger off. I never thought it was a big deal but I guess it would be to some :-)

Of course, you can edit the registry (REALLY scary). Or, you can use Tuneup Utilities. It offers hundreds of such tweaks in an attractive GUI.
indeed, here's what to put in a .reg file to disable it in XP (per-user setting, naturally):
Windows Registry Editor Version 5.00
[HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\Desktop\CleanupWiz]
"NoRun"=dword:00000001
